Lyrics: Roscoe Holcomb
Music: Roscoe Holcomb
The only reference to this song comes from a blog by Norm Von Maastricht:
"Jerry [Garcia] made me aware of artists on Guitar and Banjo I had never heard of...Doc Watson, Mike Seeger, Libba Cotten; a raft of people I never knew existed. He would play the latest dazzle by Earl Scruggs followed by Roscoe Holcombes’ “High Mountain Sound.” He would run off some of Kirk McGees’ wonderful finger-style guitar as well as some of the Mississippi Blues. Then out would come some Doc Watson stuff. He could do some of everything."I can't find any references to this song in Holcomb's recordings.
