Lyrics: Lennon, McCartney
Music: Lennon, McCartney
This song is not on any lists I have found and the only source is Rock Scully, who says in his book
'Living With The Dead' that the Dead played it at an early Acid Test: "... [the previous song] drifted into a bouncy
version of 'Good Day Sunshine' with dodgy harmonies ...". It seems, however, that Rock Scully must have been confused,
certainly about the occasion/date. The Acid Tets were in late 1965 and early 1966, whereas "Good Day Sunshine" was only
released on the Beatles album "Revolver" in August 1966.
Good day sunshine
Good day sunshine
Good day sunshine
I need to laugh and when the sun is out
I got something I can laugh about
I feel good in a special way
I'm in love and it's a sunny day
Good day sunshine
Good day sunshine
Good day sunshine
I take a walk, the sun is shining down
Burns my feet as they touch the ground
Good day sunshine
Good day sunshine
Good day sunshine
Then we'd lie beneath a shady tree
I love her and she's loving me
She feels good, she knows she's looking fine
I'm so proud to know that she is mine
Good day sunshine
Good day sunshine
Good day sunshine
